Alphabet Inc.’s GOOGL, -2.44% GOOG, +0.18% Google detailed Tuesday in a blog post how it is overhauling its market-focused Google Finance product, migrating some features to Google Search and retiring others. The changes mark the first major overhaul in eight years to a product that has existed since 2006, and will include the elimination of the portfolio feature, which is valuable to investors for tracking positions and stock weights over time. “Global Search interest in finance and stocks has more than doubled in the last five years,” Google product manager Haimin Lee wrote in the blog post. “That’s why we’re introducing an expanded Finance experience directly inside Google Search on desktop and the mobile web.” The new features and changes will roll out to some users Tuesday, and then fully over the next two days, Lee said.via
